Tilla Baby Box is an ethical start-up business, founded in 2019 by mum and designer Margherita.
The arrival of a new little one is a precious occasion for family and friends. Designed to meet the needs of new-parents during the first months with their baby, our ethical baby-boxes, sustainable textiles and clothing make a unique way to show your love.
We always work with people in mind. We source and produce ethically, working with local artisans, certified factories, social tailoring workshops where we use natural, recycled, renewable and certified materials (i.e. GOTS, OCS, FSC).
2% of our profits goes to a selected range of projects that empower women and help families in need.
Tilla Baby Box offers a selection of beautiful, durable, sustainable and carefully selected products for newborns and new parents, made with love and responsibility.
Every child has the right to grow up in a world that is safe, healthy and suited to their needs.
The choices we make for ourselves and for our families also affect the lives of others. We have a shared responsibility towards present and future generations.

Our collection is designed for soon-to-be & new parents, family and friends.
We believe in usable, functional, sustainable objects which improve people's lives. When it comes to taking care of your loved ones, we know how important it is to rely on the things you use every day, this is why we personally test every single product before adding it to the collection.
Our pride and joy are the beautifully crafted wooden boxes that can be engraved with the baby's name or a meaningful quote: special keepsakes for your most treasured memories.
sustainability and responsibility
for people and our planet
We care about the future, therefore we respect people and the environment throughout all our processes: from the product design, to packaging and all the way down to carbon neutral shipping.
Our wooden boxes are made in Italy and PEFC certified, they do not undergo any painting. The paper supports and our cardboard boxes are FSC certified, while the logo on our cellulose fiber labels is laser engraved without using inks or solvents.
We use mono-material and recyclable packaging (recycled paper, cardboard, corn starch), we do not use plastic, except by recycling what we receive, and we ask our suppliers, when possible, to do the same.

Responsible materials
We pay particular attention when choosing natural textiles, organic and certified fabrics.
This is responsible towards the environment, the workers involved and our children's delicate skin: our collection offers organic detergents and fibers (cotton, wool, bamboo), certified according to recognized standards such as GOTS, OEKO-TEX, OCS, Fair Wear.
Our range of accessories is made in Italy and it features some unique, up-cycled fabrics which are recovered from local design and fashion industries, in a circular and low-impact production system.

textiles & smiles
Many of our accessories are designed with love and proudly handcrafted in Italy, made in two social tailoring workshops which breathe new life into up-cycled textiles and the smiles of their artisans, providing new opportunities mainly to women: Casa Sant'Angela in Arzignano and D-hub Atelier in Verona.
Textiles and fabrics are recovered from local fashion and design industries, where they no longer have a purpose and would otherwise go to waste: cotton is transformed into accessories such as little bags, beauty-cases and other limited edition products. Mixed fabrics, according to availability, wrap the Furoshiki packages, while scraps and scraps that are too small to be used otherwise become bows and decorations for our gift packages.

active projects
We partnered up with two local non-profit associations (Caritas and Casa Sant'Angela), which support families and mothers in need.
We donate 2% of our profits, also in form of baby clothes, accessories and first-care products for new mothers and their children.
Casa Sant'Angela is located a few streets away from us and it is a well known charity center in our city. Among other activities, volunteers distribute food and clothes to adults and children.
